One week down

Twin mice. I ordered a new one when the old one went missing for a long time: since it goes with him many different places, it could have been anywhere. But them, it was behind the bed. And now there are the two, just alike. Such fun for my little mouse lover.

And here is the little one. The one with a mischievous streak. So so cute. He's talking so much, and so clearly you wouldn't believe it.

Playing in the pseudo treehouse. Maybe one day we'll live somewhere that has trees tall enough for a real one.

Anyway, these are just a few little updates. Tomorrow will be the end of week one of three of my comprehensive exams. Can't wait to be over this hurdle and on to the next thing!!

Valentines, selfies, and beans

We made these lovely valentines for the boys' classmates. They were inspired by some that my mom sent for the boys (she's so creative). We had if making them - even granddaddy cut out about 35 big hearts!

Last night I was cutting up a napa cabbage from the CSA and thought the bottom looked so pretty that it inspired this veggie printing project. Noah got the cabbage and Wesley was very happy with his red onion.

Later that night I taught Noah about what a 'selfie' is and we tried it out.

And tonight, instead of a movie (again), a couple of tupperwares full of black beans with scoopers, which evolved into glueing them onto paper, and then intoaling toilet paper roll 'rain sticks'.

I'm trying my very best to stay present with the boys as these comprehensive exams loom (three weeks of writing, starting this Friday, then an oral defense, and THEN I get to write my dissertation). You may not see me here for a few weeks, but I'll be back.
