California Coast Roadtrip: Last Leg (Morrow Bay)

We had planned an epic trip over to Yosemite and across the Sierras, but we decided it was just too far, and we just didn't have enough time. We looked at the map and decided to head down highway 101 and back to the coast for another night of camping at Morrow Bay. What a great decision this was! We had a great campsite in the Eucalyptus trees, not far from the ocean and the hip little harbor town of Morrow Bay. We spent the afternoon on the beach and then decided to go out for a seafood dinner overlooking the harbor instead of eating our dehydrated backpacking meals at camp.

After dinner we wandered along for a few minutes and came across a candy shop. we stopped in for some truffles to top off this lovely evening.

We headed down the coast the next morning and stopped north of Ventura for one more afternoon at the beach. It was sunny, very small waves, and lots of little black rocks for throwing. The perfect beach for these boys. We're back home now, although Noah is already asking when we can go back to Sanfrancisco. We'll definitely have to do this trip again!
