Little Boys

We've been having fun in Amarillo this week with Chris' family. I have several posts to catch up on, but for right now, just the little boys. Noah with his cousin Xander. They like each other definitely. Just a few swats and pinches to find out who's the boss. I think it's still in the air. Picking shiny ornaments off the tree and chucking them across the floor was a definite bonding experience though...

Little firemen in training. Good thing they've got the Cap'n to show them the ropes (and hopefully a real fire truck tomorrow!)

Christmas Eve at the Playground

My little boy is just the cutest. I don't think I need to say anything else :)

Christmas so far

We're on Christmas tour. Flagstaff first, now Alburquerque, and Amarillo next week. Lots of Christmas'(s..) packed in there too. We had a great time in Flagstaff and built this little kitchen out of cardboard boxes to go with the pots and pans my mom and Ron gave Noah. He cooked some delicious carrot band-aid soup, and some packing peanut stir-fry. Yum.

We got the idea for the cardboard kitchen from a family magazine article. This one is really sloppy compared to what you could do. I think we'll try another one when we get home, and I'll post the article here for those of you who might also like to have a free play kitchen!

Holiday Season in Tucson

As you might know, the holiday season in Tucson does not include snow. This year it doesn't even include cold weather, and we've been enjoying it! Here's Noah at the playground last week wearing his "pretties."

We made it back to the toy train museum, which was decked out for the holidays, with our friends Sara and Eva (sorry Sara that this isn't the greatest photo of you :)
It was so cute how these little guys wanted to sit together. I think just after this was taken, Eva clunked Noah's head into the table. Ah, toddler love.

Here we are on our way to a Christmas party. "Are you sure it's going to be warm enough to wear flipflops when we're coming home later?" "Oh yeah, this is Tucson."

He did it!!

Starting a master's program right around the same time Noah was born made us both question Chris' sanity I think, but here we are! Congratulations Chris!!!

Day at the Playground

You want a copy of this for your mantle, don't you?

Although it's not obvious from this photo, Noah LOVES to swing. He very rarely is willing to get out of the swing. In fact, a swing might make a very good Christmas gift for him...

These photos are from our favorite park where we were relaxing after doing two family photo shoots, which you can see {here} and {here} if you're interested.

Are bikes for riding, or for working on?

I've wondered this a few too many times around here, when all five or so of Chris' bikes are in pieces and he wants to ride my bike to school...
Do you remember this post {here} from last year about the littlest bike mechanic in our family?

Well, here they are at it again. Working on this little tricycle kept Noah completely enthralled for over an hour, two days in a row!! (By the way, this is a $150 german trike that we found at Savers for $6.99! Score!) So far though, Noah just wants to use the tools on the bike, rather than ride it...

I don't have a picture of the final product. That will have to be it's own post, to show off my husband's awesome bike fixing skills :)

Just one

We've been so busy around here that I've hardly taken any pictures! Here's one from the playground on Tuesday. It was cold! We're back to Tucson temperatures today though, in the low eighties :)
