Fall birthday craft project

Inline image 1

Fall crafts! Wes is turning 5 years old tomorrow and the boys helped make these little felt acorns with me and I crotched 23 of these little autum leaves for his classmates. Their birthday tradition at school is for the child having a birthday to bring a little gift to each member of the class. The teacher made Wes a beatiful wool crown in true Waldorf style, and these were a hit! I love them!

Summer winding down

Purple panthers soccer game. Noah has really been going for it lately!

Soccer practice today under a drizzling sky. It's already starting to get chilly around here!

Last day of summer camp kitty cat face.

And another hardworking soccer player!

We're back at school now. Sort of a relief to be back into something like a routine. Also, I have to say I've been really
Liking my job lately. I can't believe how lucky I've gotten to be at the university working with some of the nicest people I've ever worked with!

Red rock

We hadn't been down to the creek in a while. It's too crowded on the weekends! This trip was in the evening, just a little creek time before the sun went down, and so worth the effort.

There aren't many things more fun for little boys to do than splash around and build dams in a creek.

A few more Disneyland!

Can you spot Chris and Noah on the roller coaster?

I don't think most of these photos need captions. We had a great time on our vacation!

Disneyland vacation!

We had such a great trip to Disneyland land week! I didn't take that many pictures but here are a few. We had fun seeing my uncles and aunt in Santa Cruz too!

Above, the boys trying to pick up the tea cups at Minnie mouse's house. Below, cars land. Cars land was pretty amazing!

And last for now, a little relaxation at pismo beach.

Happy May Day!

It's been much too long since I've posted anything here, and this will just be a teaser, but here are a couple of photos of Noah at his schools May Day celebration.

I've been absolutely buried in work this semester teaching two sections of introduction to cultural anthropology and working 30 hours a week on top of that! My goal is to do a month of photos once things settle down so check back!
